loadingFOR PRODUCERS
Meetup and +wellvyl Tickets both gather people around real-life get-togethers — run clubs, movement crews, recurring socials. but the money works differently: Meetup’s organizer model is a recurring subscription you pay to run a group, whether or not anyone shows up. +wellvyl is free to list, and charges one flat service fee only when you actually sell a ticket — plus you’re paid the face value, and 25¢ of every ticket funds a kindness hotline.
THE REAL DIFFERENCE
Meetup is built around a recurring organizer subscription: you pay monthly to keep your group live, and members join and RSVP for free. that fits a standing free group well. +wellvyl is built for social wellness — you list for free, sell tickets to classes, events, and retreats, and pay a flat service fee only on the tickets you actually sell. no monthly bill waiting on you between events.
free to list, paid only when you sell.
there’s no organizer subscription. listing costs nothing; paid tickets carry one flat service fee — so a quiet month costs you nothing, not a recurring charge.
a wellness demand pool.
people join +wellvyl to make connections — then book classes, events, and retreats to make them real. your listing sits in a curated catalog in front of that intent, and you sell to anyone: members and non-members alike.
producer-first payouts.
you’re paid your ticket face value through Stripe Express, released after your event runs — event end plus 3 days. refunds before your event’s start time come out of face value only; the service fee sits on the buyer’s side of the checkout.
THE FEE QUESTION
Meetup charges the group organizer a recurring subscription to create and run a group; members join and RSVP for free, and Meetup has also added ways to charge for events. its organizer price varies by location and plan and has changed over time, so we won’t quote a number here — check meetup.com for current organizer pricing. the structural point is simply that it’s a subscription you carry between events.
+wellvyl Tickets has no organizer subscription. listing is free, and paid tickets carry one service fee — $1.59 + 3.5% of the ticket price — added at checkout and shown as its own line, so your buyers always see the fee before they pay. you pay us only when a ticket sells.
we won’t put a head-to-head fee table here, because the two models don’t line up cell-for-cell: Meetup is a flat subscription regardless of sales, ours is a per-ticket fee only when you sell. which is cheaper depends entirely on how often you sell and at what price. the honest difference is the shape of the cost — and what surrounds the sale.

BUILT-IN GOOD
25¢ from every ticket sold funds Hotline minutes, subsidized community seats, and the Kindness Fund. it’s tallied openly on the public Kindness Ledger — we’re a Public Benefit Corporation, so the math is published, not promised. no equivalent exists on the other side of this page.
